The Rotary Club of Rogue Valley After Five in Medford, Oregon beats to a slightly different drum.  The average age of our members is around 35.  We meet after 5pm in the evening and often enjoy a light meal with a glass of wine or beer.  It may sound like a casual group but the growing number of members are as enthusiastic and driven as they come.  From weekend raft trips to service projects to benefit homeless youth, the Club’s activities are making a positive impact on our community.

Every month our Club volunteers for a local service project.  Our Club is involved in many volunteer activities including harvesting community gardens for food banks, park improvement projects, youth activities, hunger projects, literacy projects, MDA Stride & Ride, United Way Day of Caring, environmental projects, and RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) - just to name a few.  Delivering turkeys to families on Thanksgiving and rounding up toys for children during Christmas are definitely some of our favorite activities.  Our Club has worked with Southern Oregon University to sponsor a Rotaract Club as well as North Medford Senior High to sponsor an Interact Club, aimed at involving students in community service activities.  We're also involved in international service projects around the world, including clean water projects in South America and SE Asia and a special needs school in San Miguel for deaf children.  But it’s not all work and no play, our Club also holds regular social activities - from annual dinners & holiday parties to wine tastings at local vineyards, we definitely enjoy our time together.

Although our Club may be young, we have covered a tremendous amount of ground.  Now at 27 members and continually growing, our Club is excited about the impact we have made-and will continue to make-on our community and the world.
